The Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Jack and Lucille Wonnell Memorial Young Artist Concerto Competition! The winners appeared as soloists on the February 2016 BAMSO concert.

First Place, Strings Division

Spencer Sharp, violin

Spencer, a high school senior, will be performing the first movement of the Dvorak Violin Concerto.


First Place, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion

Kathryn Eroskey, flute

Kathryn, a high school senior, will perform The Carnival of Venice by Briccialdi.


First Place, 13 and Under

Andrew Yang, violin

Andrew will perform the first movement of Symphonie Espagnol by Lalo.

Monday, May 30th

BAMSO Memorial Day


“American Gifts” will be the theme for this year’s Memorial Day Concert.  This concert will feature the works of Hector Berlioz, Aaron Copland and Cincinnati’s own Frank Proto.  The annual event will be at the Blue Ash Towne Square (Rain Site: Sycamore Junior High, 5757 Cooper Road) on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 6:00 PM.  The Cincinnati Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra, directed by Dale Swisher, will perform during the first half.
